I apologize
To shed light onto what has happened over the past few months. I have come to terms as to what I want to do and how I want to do it in life. Where I want to take my writing career, and how I need to go about it. Therefore the confusion has caused a greater lack in the work that I have placed within my blog lines.
Speaking with my internal editor, I have been sloppy with the way that I have published my thoughts, ideas, and news opinions. I have not brought to you my true ideas of style; whether it be on fashion, technology, home decor, self improvement, and entertainment icons. There is a duty that I have to you the reader and that is to be open and one hundred percent honest in my approach. I can not be lacking anything and I must provide to you the information and ideas that you seek.
So I ask that you stick with Style Catalyst, as for the new year, it will be a dream realized and someplace you can come to get the ideas and information that you seek, in order to have style, and present yourself to the world in a way that you see fit.
So I say to those that have read this, take these words as a contract to take Style Catalyst to the next level and beyond.
Thank you
Kem Moseley

The year Music changed its tune
Who should you date
Here is a decent rant that I found on the onion, I needed to bring this to the attention of my readers.
Style is indeed what you need to capture the attention of the opposite sex. You have to know were you are at all times and be willing to learn more about her and show her things that she has never seen or is interested in seeing.
Now you have the opportunity to get a piece of the world I observe from the resource itself. Read the entire article and please comment on it.
please note that the following article is for entertainment purposes and takes the approach of fiction to make a point.

European Men Are So Much More Romantic Than American Men
By Alyssa Lerner Junior, Boston UniversityI just got back from a semester abroad in Europe, and let me tell you, it truly was the most magical, amazing experience of my entire life. The French countryside was like something out of a storybook, the Roman ruins were magnificent, and the men, well, European men are by far the most romantic in the world.
You American men all think you're so suave and sophisticated. Well, think again! European men make you look like the immature, inexperienced little children you are. They really know how to make a woman feel special over there. Unlike the so-called men here in the States, European men know how to treat a woman right.
For one thing, European men aren't afraid to come up and talk to you. And they know how to start slow, with a nice cup of Italian espresso or a long walk on some historic street. They know the places you can't find in any tourist guide. They know the whole history of the cities in which they live—who the fountains are named after, who the statues are.
I remember one unforgettable night in Athens, I sat and listened to a Greek sailor for hours as he told me about the countless men who fought over Helen back in ancient times. Afterward, he told me he loved his homeland even more now that he'd seen it through my eyes. I ask you, would an American man ever say something as deep and beautiful as that?
European men know the most romantic little cafés and bistros and trattorias, candlelit places where you can be alone and drink the most fantastic wine. They tell you what's on the menu and what you should try. (If it wasn't for a certain young man in Milan, I never would have discovered fusilli a spinaci et scampi.) And the whole time, they're looking deep into your eyes, like you're the only woman on the entire planet. What woman could resist a man like that? Then, after a moonlit stroll along the waterfront and a kiss in the doorway of their artist's loft, you find yourself unable to—well, I'll leave the rest to your imagination.
I'll never forget my magical semester abroad. One thing's for sure—I'm ruined for American men forever! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Counterpoint
American Women Studying In Europe Are Unbelievably Easy
By Giovanni Di Salvi
I'm a 25-year-old carpenter living in Rome, and I don't mind telling you that I get all the action I can handle. I'm not all that handsome or well-dressed, and I'm certainly not rich. In fact, my Italian countrywomen could take me or leave me. But that's just fine, because Rome gets loads of tourist traffic, and American co-eds traveling through Europe are without a doubt the easiest lays in the world.Being European gives me a hell of an advantage. I'm not sure why, but there's something about the accent that opens a lot of doors. All you have to do is go up to them, act a little shy and say, "Whould hyou like to go with me, Signorina, for a café?" I actually have to thicken up my accent a little, but they never, ever catch on.
After a cheap coffee, which to them always tastes better than anything they've ever had, because they're in Europe, it's time to walk them. Now, all they know about Rome is what they've read in Let's Go, so you can pretty much just make up a whole bunch of shit. It's fun to see how much they'll swallow: As long as I refer to Italy as "my homeland" and other Italians as "my people," they'll believe pretty much anything. I don't know who most of the local statues are, so I tell the muffins they're all great artists and poets and lovers. Once, just for the hell of it, I told a psychology major from the University of Maryland that a public staircase was part of the Spanish Steps, which she'd never even heard of. Another time, I told this blonde from Michigan State that the public library was the Parthenon, and she cooed like I'd just given her a diamond.
For dinner, I usually take them to some cheap little hole in the wall, someplace deserted where not even the cops eat. American girls think candlelight means "romance," not "deteriorating public utilities," so they just poke their nipples through their J. Crew sweaters and never notice that there's no electricity. Just as well, because Roman restaurants aren't exactly the cleanest. After a bunch of fast-talk about the menu, I get them the special, which is usually some anonymous pasta with spinach and day-old shrimp, and whatever cheap, generic, Pope's-blood chianti's at the bottom of the list.
By this time, they're usually standing in a slippery little puddle. Going in for the kill, I walk them past one of Rome's famous 2,000-year-old open cesspools. Then, as we open the door to my shitty efficiency, I kiss them on the eyelids so they don't see the roaches, making sure the first thing they see is the strategically positioned artist's easel I bought at some church sale. That's usually all they need to see and, like clockwork, they fall backwards on my bed with their Birkenstocks in the air.
I mean, they're hardly Italian women, but we have a saying here in Europe: Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?Monday, December 10, 2007
What is style?
Recently I took some time off to share my time with the most important person I know ( which will remain in anonymity). I maintained a sane level of discussion with this person. My intent to engage in this conversation, was primed from a deep need to learn more about the possibilities of life. The lessons that can be learned and then shared to benefit others and more importantly one self.
For long the answers to what I am about to engage you the reader on, is highly probable, if you desire to obtain that next level of living. Far beyond what you thought to be possible is now more than ever within reach. Others will benefit from the gift that you posses and can offer with each visit and meeting. However first you must accepts that which you are, then find ways to enhance that by strategic implementation, proper planning, and the willingness to take advice, whether it be critically constructive or friendly
You must ask yourself a several questions that will allow you to begin you new journey.
Once you have the questions answered you will be ready to get out there and make it happen. That one thing you were not getting right for a long time, or never have at all in your life. The good news is, that you can now get out there and do what you have been planning on doing for a long time and that is to have STYLE!
How you grapple the idea of STYLE IMPLEMENTATION is up to you. However once you achieve the understanding of what STYLE can do for you, you will be able to apply this rhythm to you life. I am not speaking of FADS that FADE. I am speaking of creating a style that fits your rebellion, but in all is conscious of where we are as a society and what you can obtain.
Remember these principles!
What you bring can be comprised of varied brands or one alone, but make the choice because it it suitable to you. You need to be able to go to the board room to the dance floor and it work in both venues, with the minor inclusion of a tie or the lack of one.
It is about the creation of your expression and then this will allow the accent of who you are to shine through the thick cloud of d designer fashion, and weave your own niche, and not be cliche. Nothing worse than a RED CARPET WANNABE, you may think you look cool but, trust me when I tell you, once it hit the carpet, very rare do it make it off the carpet.
So keep it simple and remember this, if all you will from this. Be yourself, and the rest will follow suit. In the meantime I will keep you informed with what works and form contradiction sake, I will show you what can work off the red carpet, what can work in the board room, club, and on the block.
Do not wear hikers with a Gucci suite.

Brain fitness
Finally happen upon the opportunity to see this on PBS and I must say that this is a great material. Not only is it true to the nature of who we are as humans, but it is true to all life on this planet. Studies are being done with the primate population that I think is highly relative to the plasticity of the brains overall function in life as a whole. We can take ourselves and the life on this planet to new levels with proper implementation. Once we find harmony in all that exist and the realize the growth that our aging brains can manifest and implement in the future greater possibilities.
May we all become better. Let your Gift to yourself this coming year, be one to harness the capacity that your minds are much capable of. Invest not only in money, but challenge yourself. The rewards are greater from practicing new things and not sticking to the day to day mundane activities that you have already achieved. Make it you life's work to create challenges for yourself and the ones around you. Therefore in turn the challenge will not only come from withing but from the external.
God bless!

Here are the 16 rules I try to live by:
1. Get and stay out of your comfort zone. I believe that not much happens of any significance when we're in our comfort zone. I hear people say, "But I'm concerned about security." My response to that is simple: "Security is for cadavers."
2. Never give up. Almost nothing works the first time it's attempted. Just because what you're doing does not seem to be working, doesn't mean it won't work. It just means that it might not work the way you're doing it. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it, and you wouldn't have an opportunity.
3. When you're ready to quit, you're closer than you think. There's an old Chinese saying that I just love, and I believe it is so true. It goes like this: "The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed."
4. With regard to whatever worries you, not only accept the worst thing that could happen, but make it a point to quantify what the worst thing could be. Very seldom will the worst consequence be anywhere near as bad as a cloud of "undefined consequences." My father would tell me early on, when I was struggling and losing my shirt trying to get Parsons Technology going, "Well, Robert, if it doesn't work, they can't eat you."
5. Focus on what you want to have happen. Remember that old saying, "As you think, so shall you be."
6. Take things a day at a time. No matter how difficult your situation is, you can get through it if you don't look too far into the future, and focus on the present moment. You can get through anything one day at a time.
7. Always be moving forward. Never stop investing. Never stop improving. Never stop doing something new. The moment you stop improving your organization, it starts to die. Make it your goal to be better each and every day, in some small way. Remember the Japanese concept of Kaizen. Small daily improvements eventually result in huge advantages.
8. Be quick to decide. Remember what the Union Civil War general, Tecumseh Sherman said: "A good plan violently executed today is far and away better than a perfect plan tomorrow."
9. Measure everything of significance. I swear this is true. Anything that is measured and watched, improves.
10. Anything that is not managed will deteriorate. If you want to uncover problems you don't know about, take a few moments and look closely at the areas you haven't examined for a while. I guarantee you problems will be there.
11. Pay attention to your competitors, but pay more attention to what you're doing. When you look at your competitors, remember that everything looks perfect at a distance. Even the planet Earth, if you get far enough into space, looks like a peaceful place.
12. Never let anybody push you around. In our society, with our laws and even playing field, you have just as much right to what you're doing as anyone else, provided that what you're doing is legal.
13. Never expect life to be fair. Life isn't fair. You make your own breaks. You'll be doing good if the only meaning fair has to you, is something that you pay when you get on a bus (i.e., fare).
14. Solve your own problems. You'll find that by coming up with your own solutions, you'll develop a competitive edge. Masura Ibuka, the co-founder of SONY, said it best: "You never succeed in technology, business, or anything by following the others." There's also an old Asian saying that I remind myself of frequently. It goes like this: "A wise man keeps his own counsel."
15. Don't take yourself too seriously. Lighten up. Often, at least half of what we accomplish is due to luck. None of us are in control as much as we like to think we are.
16. There's always a reason to smile. Find it. After all, you're really lucky just to be alive. Life is short. More and more, I agree with my little brother. He always reminds me: "We're not here for a long time; we're here for a good time."

2007 AMA- Daughtry night
Show that you can do it if you believe in your own style. He has it, and his band has it.
And now for our host:
Jimmy Kimmel has style! The host of the show, shows that he has a great sense of humor and impeccable timing and a willingness to go with the show, with out writers.
I would say that this show was one to not miss, if you have make sure that you catch its highlights when you can. There were some great performances that, will stick with you for some time. Alecia Keys bring back old school Jamaican songs, and the artist of credit. From Shocka Demus and plyers, Benieman, and Junior Reed. Her performance was a montage of her musical influences.
As you can see in the captured photo, Beyonce was not short of being apart of the show, and one of its top honorees, taking home the international award, coveted by many. Seen here with Jeniffer Nettles who covered the singers song this year and grabbed a CMA for.
Fergie my lady, grabs Pop/Rock favorite female artist award at the end of the show, she can be seen jamming the show earlier on tonight.
With Will I am and Nicole Sherzinger taking the stage and performing:
Avril Lavigne perform, wearing who knows what, and why?!?!?!?, But I must say that she has style, her own and lets get down and boogie. She must be hoping, that those who were let out of rehab for the night, are still under the influence. Maybe they will not notice, she forgot that pushing the envelope in this manner is only good for George Clinton and Bootsie Collins.
Adam Levine does not disappoint the fans and he keeps is so simple that it is complicated.
Akon Favorite R&B/Soul artist of the year winner, who is following suit with Kanye West and handing over the trophy to who he thinks is the hardest working person in show biz, T-Pain. Who relunctly reached out for it.
Rascal Flatts take it home for best country band, duo or group.
Rhianna and Ne'yo perform tonight. Keeping up the the old gangster swing swagger. Now if Rhianna will exercis her vocals as much as she has with her body. She is looking great and Ne'yo tops it off as always.
Carrie Underwood take them home, with two nominations and a text vote. And let me add she looks as good as 4 scoops vanilla, toped with hot fudge and multiple cherries.
Chris Brown Tears apart the stage with a performance that can satisfy any and every visual pallet. Can you see a pattern here, I give it about 1 more year, and he will be walking away with a mantel burden, with someone to polish them for him.
In full retrospect the show was great and I am sure that there is more to the story stay posted and let me know what you think about the clothes, the style and the people wearing them.
We miss you Kanye West, and stay strong for your Family and may your mother rest well in peace. Thank you Usher for reminding us that someone in the industry is hurting right now.
Until them good night and good day.
Ramain the catalyst and you will make your mark!
MLS- Houston Dynamo takes the Cup
Dwayne De Rosario With an unflinching attack of the net, with a great snap header, to bring the lead to the Houston Dynamo. I was not a fan of soccer, with this much excitement within me, until I saw Dwayne De Rosario make that goal. It was pure athleticism.
The commentators were taken in by his abilities, the crowd went wild, you could turn off your TV and you could hear the roar of the stadium across the country. One Commentator, stated this is something you will come to expect from Dwayne, he is always surprising his opponents. I am ecstatic to see this, and I am now an official fan of Soccer.
Also he has a MVP hardware, Congratulate the man. Now the Big hardware goes too, drum roll please...The Houston Dynamo!

Summertime Throwback video
Enjoy this here...it is your summer time Throwback.
Define your style from within
Be able to set goals for yourself and clearly define when you want them finished so that you can move onto the next project. It is important that you do this, it will allow you to obtain the ideas outlined below, as well allow you to manifest your own ideas and get things rolling. It begins in the mind, but it ends in the physical realm.
First things you do is start with your character. Yes it plays a major role in how you are perceived.
Knowing who you are and what you want, know the world around you and what you can do for it and with it. Sharing your presence with others from within. Be a conveyor or great understanding.
Having knowledge is not enough, knowing when you should say something and when not to. Grasping ideas and being able to know what to do with them. Personal matters to professional matters
Getting in shape no matter your body type, it never hurts to have a well balance and well oiled machine. This will allow you clothes to shine on your frame in the best way from a size 0 to 20, muscle always help, a great heart rate allows you to keep up, and live longer, and it allows your body to use the stored fat deposits as fuel in which you can continue to keep going through out you day. It builds you mind, your spirit will be able to flow freely within you and people will see this and you will feel it.
Always stay well informed, be in the know.
Knowing what to wear, where to wear it to, and when. Your body type plays a large role in how you are perceived. You should be able to sit down and evaluate what you can do, and if you do not know just ask, your closet friends, or someone you look up to, or watch the stars on the red carpet, your favorite business mogul, etc. .
knowing which gadget works for you. Don't obtain the hottest cell phone, camera, MP3 player, laptop, hand held video game, because you see that it is popular, get what works for you and your budget. Think long term not short term when you are standing in the mall. Spend your money wisely on the things that you do need.
Again here spend you money wisely, your car may be too much for you and you may be able to put some of the money away to invest, purchase your first house or second rental property to make money off, then you can go out and get that car that you want, when you buy it you will know the time is right, because you purchased it out right, and you plenty of money in the bank and you did not have to think twice.
Do this when you can and you will see a great deal of new things and you will learn a lot more along the way. However do this when you can afford to.
With that stated any question, comments please direct to me.
Time Management issues
I have been taking some time out to watch TV lately, catch up on some reading and talk with my Girlfriend. We have been discussing the influx of information coming at us everyday and we realize that it is hard form adults to manage all the information that we receive let along comprehend it all in a rational manner.
With Character, and great planning; you should be able to create a system that allows you more hours in the day. Guys I know you have to catch you Monday nigher football, but do not let that hinder your work day, ladies I know you have to catch up on your Soaps and latest who, what, when and where Brittany, Lohan, Bradjolina, and your sotck tips all in one day. However you have to break it down in to simple systems so that you can get the most important things done first and still have an hour to meditate and get your workout in before calling it a night.
Just a thought. Not advice, I save that for the weekends, when I have time to give it.
New On DVD
Yes it is about that time. With all the lame attempts to fill the box office this year, you have a sure fire hit on your hands coming to DVD this coming week. It is Live free or die hard.
Bruce is not old he has aged and made the grade. One of the best ones so far if you ask around. You will get your answer, if you want you may be able to catch it at your local dollar theater.
Euro against the dollar
Is inflation hitting as hard as we think it is? Are we going to be affected by the monetary exchange rates and fall far behind in the financial market. Many seem to things so and the numbers at this time is proving it. It may be time to invest your money wisely in the foreign exchange market. From music, to the wall st, many are understanding the effect the war and the major import export scale that has tipped in favor of the foreign trade.
Check the numbers and find out for yourself where we are in this great state of economic shifting. Our global position is changing not only politically but financially as well, and you know if the US does not have the wealth that leave us vulnerable in many ways, more thank a few.
My first understanding of this is seeing Jay-z flash the currency in his latese video off the American Gangster album, titles Blue magic.
Mobile music power house and more
The I Pod touch has landed and the features are rich, and you will feel as if captain kirk has allowed you once and for all a piece of his world. Apple, has not limit as to how they innovate and what they create. It is great to see that, when I am sitting on the rail system on my way to the office I can kick back and browse the internet through Wi-Fi, I can play a quick game of chess to sharpen my skills, I can update my face book account, and most likely delete songs that just don't do it for me anymore and add new ones that are.
This is a mobile powerhouse and I am sure with the add-on apps. that are available, you will enjoy your new I-pod for many years. If you are on a train going through Chicago, LA, New York, London, Berlin, long island, Phoenix, Austin, Houston, or any other great city that I fail to mention. You can and should do it with style and grace. So leave your care at home and hit the local trains station or bus stop with this new gaget, and just maybe you will find the person of your dreams.
That is pushing it, but just imagine all the attention this things will attract, it is the next stage in the hand held evolution process.

Jay-Z on Charlie Rose
JAY- Z Blue Magic...return to '88
Jay-z is back, and no I am not talking about Hova, I am speaking of the Reasonable doubt, late 90's king of hip-hop. The man behind the fuel within Sean carter. No matter what you care to say about this Rapper, he is the best in the last 2 decades, forget record sales, take that away for a moment, and open every album, with the exception of a few songs and I do mean three. Who can match what he has accomplished without a pen, off the top of his cerebal.
The Album is the perfect compilation of songs that fit directly into what Jay-z was all about in the beginning. From Rapping fast to slowing it down and grooving with each track to a gangster * correct Gangsta like rythm. No one need to mistake him as an artist to fit into comparison to any other that is putting out music as of late. The newer artist or the hardcore mixtape rappers that we get fludded with on the weekely bases. This is classic not because the rest of the music sucks, but because it is musical genious at its finest. If hip-hop was not a movement, culture whatever you want to call it, and he was the first it would be a phenomenon. Total shock and awe, yet and still, Hip-Hop is what it is, and Jay-z is using the musical style to bring you his artistry. Bottom line.
Final thought.Between him and the King of POP, I can tell you who is taking home the 2008 Grammy awards, the both of them, and I have not even heard MJ song yet.
Bump Forward!
The King of Pop is Back
Thats is right, the King of Pop is back and he is more Michael Jackson than ever. Now working on his new album and preparing to continue is immortal reign over the music industry, and in the hearts of his biggest fans. Recently released news that the December issue of Ebony Magazine will contain exclusive content to the publisher, interviews and photo spread. Placing a stamp on the the first decade of the new millennium.
How else to end the first decade, of such a tragedy numb society, from War to huge Weather related catastrophe's. This I think will be monumental, if MJ takes his time, he has more inspiration than a Foreman in a protest rally. Ebony Magazine recently released this clip of the event to the December issue.
